This one's for you Shara - quit complaining :)

Lo turns 2 on Friday, I can't believe it! If you ask her how old she is, she screams "I TWO!" and holds out her hand with all of her fingers spread apart in an attempt to show 2 fingers. I keep trying to tell her that it's her birthday, but she's not quite grasping that yet. We're trying to practice blowing out candles so that it's not just a bunch of spit, but it's not working, so I'm thinking of cupcakes instead of a big cake to save everyone from her saliva. I just can't wait to see her face when she gets to open all of her presents and has her party on Friday! I'm so excited, which is OK because she's not!

Lo loves her little sister! She's always lovin' on her and kissing her, it's so sweet!

Another great Sheryll picture
Lo insisted on both of us wearing sunglasses - the ones I'm wearing are not the ones I wear on a regular basis....promise.
Mya is so sweet, even when she's trying to eat her own hand

Long Lost Easter Pictures

My friend Sheryll (awesome photographer) took these pictures this last Easter at Gardner Village, and they were on a DVD so I couldn't download them until now cuz my in-laws didn't have a DVD drive on their computer. Anyway, here are some pictures of Lo. She was really not a happy girl that day, but we still got some really cute pictures. I didn't put them all on because they take quite a while to download. I can't believe this is almost 6 months ago and how much she's changed since then!! This was the Sunday before she started walking - so hard to think that she ever didn't run around all day long! I just love my little Mebud so much, she's such a cutie!

This is my favorite picture! Sheryll brought cupcakes and we let Lo chow down - it was hilarious, they were really the only good smiles we got out of Miss Ornery Pants that day. Well played, Sheryll, well played.

Mya Pictures (finally)

She's getting cuter every day! This is her today in her bouncy chair - she really doesn't want to be there because she wants to be held ALL THE TIME - looks at those chubby cheeks! Go ahead, pinch them, I do all the time!

Here's the first picture of Mya Lorraine - pretty gooey and yucky. (Sorry, these are out of order and I don't want to take the time to fix them)Looking a little less squishy
Coming home from the hospital
The bili lights - she absolutely hated them, it was the worst 2 days ever! But luckily it was only 2 days and then she didn't have to do them any more.
Greg, looking so natural holding her - he was so freaked out, it was hilarious! He'll be such a cute daddy some day!

Praying With Lauren

So Lauren has decided that she can say her own prayers. Aah, from the mouths of babes! Each and every prayer (whether it's a night time prayer, or dinner, or whatever) has to have certain words/phrases.
They all start out with the appropriate "Dear Heavely Father" and usually you can make out something about being thankful for this day. Then the fun begins. One of the things she always says is "all night long". You would think this only applies to night time prayers when saying you want to sleep all night long, but for Lo it also applies to mealtimes so that the food will make us healthy and strong all night long. On occasion, Mom and Baby Mya also needed to be healthy all night long (hopefully for longer than that :).
Sometimes she requires some prompting, and sometimes she doesn't. Sometimes you can understand what she's trying to say, and sometimes you can't. But always, Daddy needs to come home safe, Grandpa is in Nevada, and she's thankful for her blessings. The other night, after watching Olympic swimming all evening, she said something about Daddy swimming in the water.
You've gotta wonder what goes through their little minds.

Baby Mya is Here!!

So she came!! Mya Lorraine Kinyon was born on 08/14/08 at 12:16 p.m., she weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz. and 19.5 inches long. It started out as a crazy delivery - I was dilated to an 8 when I got to the hospital, but once I got the epideral (which I professed my deep love to the anesthesiologist for), everything was smooth sailing. She's perfect (a little jaundiced), has a bunch of dark hair (only around the sides/back, it's quite the little old man mullett), and is just the sweetest thing ever!!
I'll post pictures as soon as I have a way to post them - which is hopefully soon. We're moving this next weekend, so things are going to be a little crazy for a while. But she looks like Lauren (I think so anyway).
Both of us are doing really well, and I just can't wait for everyone to meet her!!

Soon?

Had super strong contractions last night every 7-10 minutes from about 1 a.m. until 5 a.m., then they just stopped. So it might be sooner than we think, kids, but who knows. As we all know that really doesn't mean a whole lot.
All I know is that I'd prefer not to have another night like that again unless it ends with me having my baby! And I discovered that , even with all the channels satellite telelvision has to offer, the only thing on at that time is paid programming - I miss TIVO!!!
Oh, and I wish I could post pictures of the house, but my father-in-law took my only means of transferring pictures with him to Elko - oh well. I might just have to break down and go buy one myself - but it's hard to justify when I know once we move it won't be an issue anymore. But I do have to say that my girls are going to have the CUTEST rooms ever!! I'm so excited to get their stuff in there!!

What do I pack????

So I had my appointment yesterday. My doctor took forever, but I read over 100 pages of Breaking Dawn while I waited - uninterrupted by my kid, so I can't complain :).
The doctor said my cervix "isn't doing much", but my blood pressure is 130/90 - so he had me go get some blood work done. I don't think he's super worried, but he told me to be super lazy for the next week. I got the impression that when I go in for my appointment next Wednesday, if it's gone up again, then I'll probably get induced. I can't imagine he would put me on bed rest at 38 weeks. But anyway, that would be the 13th of August - my anniversary is on the 14th - how super exciting is that. Oh, and we finally got our wood floor yesterday (3 days late), so we had to postpone carpet until the 23rd - so we wouldn't be moved in to the house. It's OK, I've come to terms with it, but I'm trying to figure out what to pack, and I know I'm missing stuff - so I just want y'all to help me think of stuff that I might want in the hospital that I might forget about. Last time Bryan packed for me - I got to leave the hospital in a T-shirt of his with a mildly inappropriate saying on the front, and no socks. So I'm going to just go ahead and take care of it this time :).
So, let me know something out of the ordinary that scatterbrained women like myself wouldn't normally think to take.
And pray for my BP to stay normal and buy me another week!!!!
