Good To Be Home....Kind Of

We got back yesterday from a quick little trip down south to warmer, sunnier, much funner place than here.  Where did we go?  Where do we always go?
Vegas!
We got a screaming deal on our hotel, and headed down Thursday afternoon with our old traveling buds - H & A Briggs.

I only have a few pics.  These are from where we ate dinner on Saturday night, on the 18th hole of the golf course at the Wynn.  Gorgeous!!
We came home Sunday morning.  It was a little weird to not be here first thing on Mother's Day, but it was so much fun and I was so excited to come home to my girls.
Thanks Shara and Grandma Sherrie for taking such good care of our littles while we were gone playing.  And from what I hear they are much better for you than they are for me (I guess I'd rather have it that way, right?).  We are so lucky to have family so willing to help when we have an opportunity like this come up.  And family who washes all of my girls' dirty clothes so that I didn't have to when I got home (thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!)
Hilights from this adventure:
Laughing hard enough to almost pee my pants at least 10 times
Hyrum's dad meeting us with his golf clubs strapped to his motorcycle
Eating INCREDIBLE food for every meal
Giant croissants
Froyo
New gold sandals
Walking, and walking, and walking some more
Finally daring to buy skinny jeans (and loving them)
Being in bed by 11:00 every night (we are so old)
Lactose intolerance (not me)
Cheesecake Factory - it's a tradition
No alarm clock
Salmon that swims upstream and desserts with a "stream of chocolalate lava that trickles down your throat and makes your belly happy" (actual quote from our crazy waiter)
Having to call the front desk to come regulate our noisy neighbors at 1:00 am (did I mention we are officially old?)
Blackout curtains
Stumbling into the Eurpoean pool - we were just trying to find 2 chairs together!
A constant, beautiful, sunny 84 degrees every day
Getting to walk around holding hands with my hubby and people watch.
But it really is good to be home.
