What do I pack????

So I had my appointment yesterday. My doctor took forever, but I read over 100 pages of Breaking Dawn while I waited - uninterrupted by my kid, so I can't complain :).
The doctor said my cervix "isn't doing much", but my blood pressure is 130/90 - so he had me go get some blood work done. I don't think he's super worried, but he told me to be super lazy for the next week. I got the impression that when I go in for my appointment next Wednesday, if it's gone up again, then I'll probably get induced. I can't imagine he would put me on bed rest at 38 weeks. But anyway, that would be the 13th of August - my anniversary is on the 14th - how super exciting is that. Oh, and we finally got our wood floor yesterday (3 days late), so we had to postpone carpet until the 23rd - so we wouldn't be moved in to the house. It's OK, I've come to terms with it, but I'm trying to figure out what to pack, and I know I'm missing stuff - so I just want y'all to help me think of stuff that I might want in the hospital that I might forget about. Last time Bryan packed for me - I got to leave the hospital in a T-shirt of his with a mildly inappropriate saying on the front, and no socks. So I'm going to just go ahead and take care of it this time :).
So, let me know something out of the ordinary that scatterbrained women like myself wouldn't normally think to take.
And pray for my BP to stay normal and buy me another week!!!!

ha ha - my sister said the same thing about making her a blanket. I will see what I can do - might be a while, like a year or two - I have a whole lot of unfinished projects going on at once right now. I had to postpone her blanket and work on some school clothes for my C bug.
OK, for packing - something to do to pass the time - books to read, cards to play. Unfortunately no snacks to snack on 'cuz all you get is dang ice chips. Comfy pants to wear home, unless you are a sicko that can walk out in your pre-high school jeans after having a baby. Toiletries, incase you want to freshen up after resting after having the baby. Oh maybe some snacks for after you have the baby. I'm always so hungry afterwards and sometimes what they serve for meals doesn't cut it. I'll think some more, but that's my tips for now.

My suggestions to add, breastpads, good nursing bra, toy for Lauren when she comes to visit, picture of Lauren to put in Mya's basinet, socks, blanket (I always freeze and the blankets are too thin for me) slippers or flipflops, robe. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. You'll also want to make sure you have sanitary pads and stool softner when you get home!
It's good to see an update, I was wondering how your appointments were going. I hope you can go a bit longer.

Get my people magazine crossword puzzles book from Becky, that'll keep you busy and they're fun to do. I agree with snacks for afterwards and it's a great idea to pack a couple little toys for Lolo (I wouldn't have thought about that but it's a great idea!) If you forget anything let me know, I'll bring it to you when we come visit!

Kiersti, how exciting! A new house, new baby...I can relate. I moved 2 weeks after I had my first, and we moved into our first house the day before we had the second. No nesting for me. Good thing little babies can just be in a pack'n play, or Will just slept in his carrier most of the time. Thanks to my sister-in-law, my nursery was all set up when I got home from the hospital. Good luck with everything and I'm sure you'll do great!
